Financial and Educational Assistance for Salem Youth

Acton Education Foundation was created to provide financial assistance for children living or attending public school in Salem City, with scholarships, college savings accounts and other assistance. The foundation is named after one of Salem’s most famous and successful residents, Forman Acton, who donated part of his fortune to help Salem’s students. College Savings Accounts
All students living or attending public school in Salem are eligible to receive money for college savings accounts through the foundation’s Acorn Fund. The foundation’s already set aside $275,000 in the fund, and all Salem families need to do to receive their share is sign up on the foundation’s website.

Through a partnership with United Way of Salem County, the foundation paid for a public computer lab at the John B. Campbell Center.
